About Sara

Sara WinchcombeAfter having a successful career within the IT industry, I decided to take a huge leap into health care. Through being a swimmer at county level, duathlete and runner and having had postural problems through a predominantly high stress desk based and travel role in IT, I wanted to help people restore function to their bodies to enable them to lead a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University and a registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council. Also I am a qualified Sport and Remedial Massage, BTEC Diploma, and belong to the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage. Qualified in athletic and Kinesio taping.

I specialize in treating all age groups, particularly children and the elderly. I have experience in dealing with sports injuries in general, due to working at Newbury Rugby club, attending pitch side and training sessions for both the men and the womens teams. I have also provided treatment for the mens European Common Wealth Gold Medalist in Olympic Skeet, ladies number two in Great Britain for clay pigeon shooting, Hampshire County Cricketer, an ex England rower and England’s number 2 under 18′s in duathalons.

I have experience in working at events such as London Marathon, Triathlons and Cycle events, providing support for injuries, pre and post event treatment.
Further planned studies are in the field of dry needling, cranial and further pediatrics.
